In partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the state, and led by board-certified oncologists, hematologists, surgeons, and radiation oncologists, we provide advanced treatment options, including clinical trials, sophisticated radiation therapy, and complex surgical procedures in a supportive environment. This role supports holistic oncology/hematology care by administering chemotherapy/immunotherapy, iron infusions, injections, blood transfusions, and monitoring patient responses. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, symptom management, and care of venous access devices. As a Clinical Coordinator, you oversee clinical areas, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, serve as a role model and resource for staff, facilitate interdepartmental coordination, and develop policies and procedures.
The RN provides individualized, age-specific care, supporting the hospital's philosophy, objectives, and mission. Practices according to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards, Code of Ethics, and other regulatory bodies. Participates in patient education, discharge planning, and performance improvement activities.
