Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Rehab Skilled Nursing in Pasadena, TX. The CNC will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions across shifts while mentoring staff.

Collaborating with management and clinical teams, the CNC drives care standards, staffing effectiveness, and a strong patient experience aligned with the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current RN license in Texas or Compact; TX license within 90 days if on a multi-state license.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• 1 year of experience in rehab or skilled nursing setting.
• Charge experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high-quality care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of care quality in the unit with management.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to improve teamwork and outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in line with needs and productivity guidelines.
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
