Minimum Qualifications:

Job Summary:

Competent Clinician with knowledge and skill to meet standards for professional nursing practice, experienced and skilled in the specialty area, functioning as part of the interdisciplinary team, with a patient-centered approach. Able to manage unexpected or emergency situations, serve as a resource, and provide care based on ANA standards.

Essential Job Functions:
Professional Practice:
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care.
  • Identify diagnoses, develop and revise care plans.
  • Execute physician’s orders, administer medications and treatments, and perform technical procedures.
Patient/Family Teaching & Health Promotion:
  • Provide education based on learning needs, identify family dynamics, use evidence-based resources, and employ Teach-Back methods.
Care Coordination & Delegation:
  • Coordinate care, maintain safety, demonstrate time management, delegate appropriately, and use technology effectively.
Professional Performance:
  • Address ethical issues, deliver culturally sensitive care, advocate for patients, and support a respectful work environment.
Leadership and Education:
  • Recognize leadership roles, participate in quality improvement, attend educational activities, and demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning.
Quality, Resources & Safety:
  • Identify safety concerns, engage in quality activities, and practice self-care.
General Requirements:
  • Complete required orientation and competency evaluations.
  • Perform point of care testing, maintain a safe environment, document accurately, and meet compliance requirements.
