Minimum Qualifications:

Job Summary:

The Nurse Clinician III in the NICU is a competent clinician with knowledge and skills to meet professional nursing standards as specified in the Texas Nurse Practice Act. They are experienced and skilled in their specialty area, functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team. Their practice involves interdependent decision-making, focusing on patient-centered care, and managing unexpected or emergency situations typical of their specialty. They serve as a resource for Nurse Clinician I or II, managing common contingency situations on the clinical unit, and providing care based on the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance. They value the unit's, nursing's, and the institution's strategic initiatives and goals.
