Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) in Houston, TX. The NCII will apply nursing standards, manage common clinical problems, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN (preferred) or nursing diploma, TX RN licensure, BLS, and at least one year RN experience or GN program completion; bilingual skills are a plus. The role requires weekend and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Diploma in Nursing; graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Registered Nurse; licensed to practice in Texas.
• Basic Life Support from an AHA or Red Cross approved program.
• One year full-time RN experience or completion of GN program.
• Bilingual skills preferred; Proficiencies: PC.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care compliant with the Texas Nursing Practice Act and Harris Health Nursing Service.
• Independently and safely manage patients in the assigned clinical area.
• Recognize when assistance is needed and seek appropriate resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Work schedule includes weekends, holidays, on-call and flexible shifts.
