Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for ambulatory care to provide disease-specific patient care. The role includes assessments, care plan development and implementation, patient education, and clinical interventions in a fast-paced ambulatory setting focused on quality, safety, and service.

Candidates should have ADN or BSN and basic computer skills. This on-site role supports the university community with a standard M-F, 8am–4:30pm shift and requires compliance

Qualifications

• Valid RN license (KY RN) in good standing.
• ADN or BSN preferred; higher education welcomed.
• Basic computer literacy with MS Windows, Word and Outlook.

Job Summary

The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease specific patient care to a group of patients who have serious acute and/or chronic health events or who are seeking healthcare to maintain their state of wellness. Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education and clinical evaluation or interventions. This position requires working with medical professionals who are working under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient centered care focus on quality, safety, and service. A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful.
