Qualifications

• RN license active and unrestricted required.
• BSN preferred
• Three years active patient or clinical care experience as an RN required.
• Three years workers' compensation case management or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to standards of practice policies and quality assurance goals.
• Manage treatment of claimants through the workers' compensation system based on diagnosis and state regulations.
• Assess medical status, determine medical necessity and plan appropriate treatment and return-to-work steps.
• Communicate decisions to claim handlers and coordinate with providers.
• Develop and discuss return-to-work options and permanency ratings with providers and claims staff.
• When applicable, ensure compliance with applicable nurse practice acts and professional conduct rules.
