LifeBridge Health seeks a Nurse Auditor for the Regulatory Reimbursement and Reporting team. This role primarily supports a remote work environment while coordinating with HIM, CDI, Coding, PFS, Pharmacy, IT and clinical leadership to safeguard revenue and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include audits, education and data analysis to identify risks, and collaboration on initiatives to optimize reimbursement and audit readiness across inpatient and outpatient services.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in Revenue Integrity, Clinical Auditing, Healthcare Compliance, CDI, HIM/Coding, Utilization Review, Case Management or Hospital Billing and Reimbursement.
• Nursing degree required with RN license in Maryland or eligibility.
• Licensure as RN with current Maryland license; CPR/BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical and revenue integrity audits to ensure accurate charge capture.
• Support regulatory oversight and ensure coding compliance across services.
• Assist CDM maintenance and provide education to departments.

Job description

The Nurse Auditor, Regulatory Reimbursement and Reporting is responsible for conducting clinical, revenue integrity, and compliance audits to ensure accurate charge capture, documentation integrity, coding compliance, and appropriate reimbursement across inpatient and outpatient services. This position operates in a primarily remote work environment and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams throughout the health system to identify compliance risks, improve charging practices, support audit readiness, and optimize reimbursement while maintaining regulatory compliance. The Nurse Auditor serves as a clinical resource for RRR initiatives and functions as a liaison between clinical operations, RRR, Health Information Management (HIM), Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), Coding, Pharmacy, Patient Financial Services (PFS), Information Technology, and departmental leadership. The position supports organizational goals related to revenue preservation, charge capture accuracy, regulatory compliance, audit defense, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Experience: 1-3 years, Minimum two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: Revenue Integrity, Clinical Auditing, Healthcare Compliance, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), HIM/Coding, Utilization Review, Case Management, Hospital Billing and Reimbursement

Education: Nursing Degree

Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR

Pay Range: $40.12 to $62.94 Based On Experience
