An established healthcare provider seeks a dedicated Nurse Assistant to join their neuro unit. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse (RN), performs specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient. Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures. Recognizes and participates in own continuing education. The Nurse Assistant follows the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.
These duties may include but are not limited to:
- Blood draws
- Vitals
- Performs venipuncture and chemsticks
- Team roundings
- Identifies concerns related to patients, staff, and self, and communicates with the responsible RN
UNIT DESCRIPTION:
30 bed unit specializing in neuro patients. Some of the patient population consisting of stoke/stroke-like symptoms, seizure, brain bleeds, and other neuro type diagnosis. In addition, will see small number of cardiac patients with a couple cardiac drips that are not titrated, and any other patient’s needed placement. All RNs ACLS and NIH certified.
Shift: 7:00am to 7:30pm
