Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant to perform patient care duties under the supervision of an RN on the Day shift at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Acute Rehabilitation. Responsibilities include assisting in planning and implementing care, and responding to emergencies per procedures.

Eligible candidates may be a CNA or completing a Nurse Assistant program; current nursing students or foreign-trained RNs not licensed in MI are considered. One year of NA/PCT/PAT experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• CNA preferred.
• Completion of Nurse Assistant program (titles may vary; e.g., PCT or PAT).
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program or foreign-trained RN relocated to the U.S. without MI RN license.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least 1 year of NA/PCT/PAT or similar experience.

Education/Experience Required

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• CNA preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (titles for similar programs may vary; e.g., Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Patient Assistant Technician (PAT) but perform the same job role.)
• OR May be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course. OR Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and does not hold a Michigan Rn license.
• OR Medical Assistant program with OR without experience.
• OR At least one (1) year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar job role.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED

• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
