Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the 9th floor Inpatient Rehab team. You will perform routine patient care under RN supervision and assist with daily unit operations.

Minimum requirements include Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training and BLS certification. This PRN role offers 8-hour shifts and the chance to support energetic rehab teams at MUSC.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required within 2 weeks of hire and maintained.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.

Job Description

The Nurse Assistant performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Requirements: Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant, or equivalent training. Credentials: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
