Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Orthopedics department at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. This part-time role (24 hours weekly) covers day shifts from 7am to 7:30pm, contributing to a high-acuity environment in Macomb County.

You will assist RNs, participate in care planning, respond to emergencies, and engage in ongoing education while upholding hospital standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or current nursing program enrollment with Fundamentals of Nursing.
• Foreign-trained RN without Michigan license may apply.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least one year of experience in a similar role.
• CN A certification preferred.

• Provide input to help plan and implement patient care.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
