Job summary

Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Haverhill, MA seeks Certified or Non-Certified Nursing Assistants to work 7a-7p, 7a-3p, or 3p-11p.

You will support nursing staff in LTACH and IRF units by monitoring patients, assisting with ADLs, performing RN-delegated tasks, and recording data. Current BLS certification is required; CNA certification or willingness to learn is welcome. High school diploma or GED preferred. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Must have current BLS Certification.
• Nurse Assistant Certification or experience as nurse assistant preferred, but non-experienced who wish to learn are encouraged to apply.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitors/observes patients to assure needs are met in a timely manner.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living specific to culture, age and developmental level.
• Performs tasks/tests delegated by the registered nurse and reports/records data as needed.
• Performs advanced skills delegated by the registered nurse as deemed competent, reports/records data as needed.
• Checking vital signs, blood sugar, bladder scanning, strict intake and output monitoring and documentation.
• Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients and unusual incidents.

Looking for: 7a-7p; 7a-3p or 3p-11p

Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Differentials: up to $6 depending on shift

Primary Responsibilities

You will be assisting our nursing staff to care for our rehabilitation patients within our LTACH and IRF Hospital units. including, but not limited to:
