Job summary

Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit is seeking a Nurse Assistant for Oncology for 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am), with alternating weekends and holidays.

Under RN supervision, the Nurse Assistant will perform patient care duties, assist in planning and implementing care, respond to emergencies, and pursue ongoing education while upholding the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• CNA preferred as part of the candidate profile.
• Completion of Nurse Assistant program or current nursing program enrollment considered.
• Foreign-trained RN relocating to the US without Michigan RN license may qualify.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• CNA preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (titles for similar programs may vary; e.g., Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Patient Assistant Technician (PAT) but perform the same job role.) OR May be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course. OR Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and does not hold a Michigan Rn license. OR Medical Assistant program with OR without experience. OR At least one (1) year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar job role.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
