Community Hospital in Munster, IN is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for evenings and nights to support the Neuroscience IMCU West team. The role involves assisting with personal care, safety and comfort of patients on 8-hour shifts, with every-other-weekend and holiday coverage.

Hours per pay period: 64; FTE: 0.8. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and nursing assistant certification or equivalent clinical experience; a minimum of one

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• One year direct patient care experience with successful completion of competency exam, completion of one semester of clinicals in nursing program or completion of nursing assistant certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Completes annual skill validations as well as safety and infection control procedures.

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

After the patient’s plan of care has been determined by the team leader (RN), the Nursing Assistant performs various designated patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort and safety of the patient in accordance with Hospital Policy and Nursing Service Standards.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• One year direct patient care experience with successful completion of competency exam, completion of one semester of clinicals in nursing program or completion of nursing assistant certification required.
