Job Summary

Provides assistance to nursing staff with treatments and basic nursing care, following physician and nursing orders to ensure age/developmentally appropriate care.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration

• Completion of North Carolina State Approved Nurse Aide I course required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Essential Functions

• Participates in nursing process by providing direct care under RN supervision.
• Performs procedures correctly under RN guidance.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Ensures accurate and timely communication of patient information.
• Communicates effectively with team, patients, and families.
