Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Nurse Assistant program completion required.
• One year of NA/PCT/PAT experience preferred.
• Current enrollment in a nursing program acceptable.
• Foreign trained RN without Michigan license considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including venipuncture and blood draws, monitor vital signs, and perform chemstick testing.
• Collaborate with the care team during rounds to inform individualized patient plans.
• Identify and report patient concerns and safety observations to the RN.
• Support the clinical team during emergent situations following established protocols.
• Pursue continuing education to grow clinical skills and nursing career.
• Uphold Team Member Standards of Excellence in every interaction.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

As a Nurse Assistant in our Float Pool, you'll be the vital link between patients and our clinical team. Working under the direction of our Registered Nurses, you'll deliver compassionate patient care while ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity. You'll be an active partner in care planning, bringing valuable frontline insights to team discussions and responding confidently to dynamic patient situations. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Direct Patient Care:Perform venipuncture and blood draws with precision, monitor and record vital signs, and conduct chemstick testing to support accurate patient assessments

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• CNA preferred,One year of experinece preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (titles for similar programs may vary; e.g.,
• Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Patient Assistant Technician (PAT) but perform the same job role.)
• OR May be currently enrolled in a nursing program and have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• OR Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and doesnot hold a Michigan Rn license.
• OR Completion of a Medical Assistant program with OR without experience.
• OR At least one (1) year of previous experience in an NA, PCT, PAT, or similar job role.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification prior to orientation
