Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND seeks a Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will monitor vital signs, document changes, and support the nursing staff in a compassionate, healing environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, registry listing or placement after orientation, and BLS certification within orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Must be listed on a Nurse Assistant Registry or eligible for placement after orientation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within orientation period.
• Preferred: hospital experience or aide experience and completion of certification/training program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the RN.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer and transport patients as needed.
• Maintain a neat, organized work environment and manage supplies/equipment.
• Respond to call lights and ensure patient safety.
