Description

Primary Scheduled Hours: Evenings, 80 hours per pay period

Job Summary: Provides direct and indirect care for residents as a caregiver and dispenser of medications. Communicates with residents, families, departmental staff, and visitors.

Essential Job Functions:

• Adheres to and promotes the facility’s philosophy on self-care and independence.
• Respects the heritage, values, and wisdom of residents and understands the aging process.
• Maintains accurate, complete, and confidential resident records according to procedures.
• Collaborates effectively with peers and team members.
• Uses tactful and diplomatic communication in sensitive situations.
• Remains calm in emergency situations.
• Maintains a low noise level at all times.
• May assist with dietary department tasks as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Required Licenses / Certifications:

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) license in Washington State.

Nurse Delegation Core and Diabetic Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in Mental Health, Dementia, and Developmental Disabilities for Assisted Living. One year of experience assisting with or administering medications under Nurse Delegation in an Assisted Living setting. Proficiency with Point Click Care E-Mar documentation.
