Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Main Campus team in a full-time role on day shifts. You will support patients with daily living activities and perform patient care tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in line with Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.

Join our interdisciplinary care team, maintain knowledge of delegated tasks, support department operations, and report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant orientation.
• Certification in CPR/BLS.
• Six months experience as a nursing assistant in hospital or long-term care facility, or completion of Nursing Assistant course in last six months, or nursing student/pre-nursing status, or current KH employee.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and perform delegated patient care skills.
• Maintain knowledge, skill, and ability for delegated tasks.
• Support department operational needs and perform other duties as assigned.
• Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• The Nursing Assistant serves as a member of our interdisciplinary patient care team.
• The Nursing Assistant focuses on supporting patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
• The Nurse Assistant is responsible for maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability of the delegated tasks.
• The Nursing Assistant also supports department operational needs, and performs other duties as assigned.
• The Nursing Assistant reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

Applicants Must Have

• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant orientation
• Certification in CPR/BLS
• Must have one of the following:
  • Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility
  • Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months
  • Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts
  • Current employee with Kettering Health
