Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Dayton is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the interdisciplinary patient care team on a full-time, night shift. You will support patients with activities of daily living and perform approved nursing tasks under the licensed nurse's direction.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant orientation.
• Certification in CPR/BLS.
• Must have one of the following: six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or long-term care facility; completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months; nursing student or pre-nursing as shown on transcripts; current KH employee.

Responsibilities

• Act as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and perform delegated patient care tasks.
• Maintain knowledge and ability of delegated tasks as per scope of practice.
• Support department operations and perform other duties as assigned.
• Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant serves as a member of our interdisciplinary patient care team.
• The Nursing Assistant focuses on supporting patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
• The Nurse Assistant is responsible for maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability of the delegated tasks.
• The Nursing Assistant also supports department operational needs, and performs other duties as assigned.
• The Nursing Assistant reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant orientation
• Certification in CPR/BLS
• Must have one of the following:
• Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility
• Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months
• Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts
• Current employee with Kettering Health
