Job summary

Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY, seeks a Nurse Assistant (NA) to support patient care under the direction of registered nurses. The NA communicates patient status to RNs and participates in quality initiatives while upholding Catholic Health standards and customer service.

This role is eligible for THRIVE education and a Workforce Coach in the first year. The position operates nights (7:00pm–7:00am) with weekend and holiday rotation, is Full Time FTE 0.92, and belongs to ACE

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Basic arithmetic skills required.

Summary:
The Nurse Assistant (NA), under the direct supervision of the registered nurse, assists in providing patient care. The NA Updates RN with timely information regarding status of patient in compliance with hospital and regulatory agency requirements. The NA participates in quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of department, nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as, initiatives. The NA represents Catholic Health in a positive, professional manner, with a commitment to customer service.
This position is eligible to participate in the THRIVE program that provides education and a Workforce Coach to support them through their first year of employment.
