An established healthcare provider is seeking a compassionate Nurse Assistant to join their team on the 2nd Floor Rehab. Your responsibilities will include monitoring vital signs, assisting with patient care, and responding to emergencies. Under the direction and supervision of the responsible Registered Nurse (RN), performs specific patient care duties to meet the safety and comfort needs of the patient. Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures. Recognizes and participates in own continuing education. The Nurse Assistant follows the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

UNIT DESCRIPTION:
Candidates will work closely with LPNs, NAs, PT, OT, SW, and SLP. If you enjoy building a rapport with your patients and their families, then this is the place for you. Our average length of stay is about 2 weeks, and our patient population is mostly geriatric, but we can take patients as young as 14 with no upper age limit. Our patients have survived any one of many debilitating illnesses or accidents including CVA, TBI, hip fracture, craniotomy, cancer diagnosis, MS, amputees.
