Job summary

The Apprentice Nurse Program (ANP) at Baystate Health in Massachusetts offers a per diem nursing support role for students actively enrolled in an accredited RN program. Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required
• Currently actively enrolled and participating in an accredited Registered Nurse nursing program
• Current American Heart Association BLS for the Health Care provider CPR Certification required
• Successfully completed 1 clinical rotation (including Fundamentals) or has 6 months of applicable direct patient care experience
• Current resume – required with online application
• GED or HiSET (Required)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including hygiene, skin care, mobility, and elimination needs
• Obtain and record vital signs
• Collect laboratory specimens
• Document intake/output
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff
• Promote patient safety and function as a team member within the health system
