The Nurse Aide Trainee will be engaged in vocational training to learn the basic skills needed to become a certified nursing assistant. Training will include classroom education, clinical skills training, and competency assessments. The trainee assists residents with activities of daily living according to the individualized care plan. The Nurse Aide Trainee is required to enroll in the next available Nurse Aide Training class.
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Certification as a Nurse Aide within 120 days is required.
One year of experience in Long Term Care is preferred. Basic reading comprehension skills test is required for applicants without a High School Diploma or GED.
