Job summary

Thomson-Hood Veterans Center seeks a Nurse Aide State Registered I to provide compassionate care to Kentucky veterans. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, meals, and daily living activities, while maintaining vital signs and documenting care.

The role requires active Nurse Aide Registry status and compliance with state regulations, with a full-time schedule and overtime eligibility. Locality premium applies where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must possess current registration with the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry as administered by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
• Active status on the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry is required.
• Employing agency is responsible for maintaining required licensure or credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene (bathing, dental care, hair/nail care).
• Assist residents with bowel and bladder functions and record intake/output.
• Assist with meals and nourishment and restorative dining as needed.
• Provide total physical care and meet residents' physical and psychosocial needs.
• Measure and record temperature, BP, pulse, and respirations; height as instructed.
• Collect and label specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in daily care.
