Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) seeks a dedicated Nurse Aide to assist in patient care within our Beckley facility. You will perform basic nursing tasks, help with activities of daily living, monitor patients, and support nursing staff in daily procedures.

Requires successful completion of a hospital-approved Nursing Aide Training Program and at least three months of on-the-job training. Safety, compassion, and teamwork are essential to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of hospital-approved Nursing Aide Training Program.
• Three months on-the-job training is required to attain proficiency.
• Additional training may be required to work in some areas or with state-specific competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care including bathing, shampoo, shave, back rub, and feeding.
• Answers signals promptly to determine and meet patient needs.
• Collects specimens, input/output, and records appropriately.
• Documents vital signs and pertinent patient information per hospital policy.
• Maintains a safe environment and prepares patients for procedures.
