Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience as a caregiver is preferred.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with comfort and safety; including reporting situations that may cause accidents or injuries.
• Carry out duties in accordance with resident care policy and procedures.
• Assist in daily activities such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and observing intake.
• Log care provided into the Electronic Medical Records system.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Observe and report symptoms, changes, and reactions to nursing staff.
• Maintain care of equipment and supplies.
• Assist ambulatory residents or push a wheelchair as required.
• Perform movements safely with or without accommodations and meet lifting requirements.
• Respond to call lights promptly and determine if assistance is needed.
• Provide good customer service and compassionate communication in sensitive situations.
