Job description

Overview

The Nurse Aide I supports and incorporates WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model by delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The four key concepts of PFCC are:

  1. Dignity and Respect: Listen to and honor patient and family perspectives and choices;
  2. Information Sharing: Communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful;
  3. Participation: Patients and families are encouraged and supported in participating in care and decision-making at the level they choose;
  4. Collaboration: Patients, families, and the Nurse Aide I collaborate in the delivery of care.
