Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a dedicated Nurse Aide to provide direct resident care and support therapeutic routines in a long-term care setting. You will assist residents with daily needs, support staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and encouraging environment, and participate in care planning and daily instruction.

Responsibilities include personal hygiene, rehabilitation support, therapeutic interaction, and reporting changes.

Qualifications

• Active PA Nurse Aide registration in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
• Six months of paid experience in care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene support and meet residents' physical and emotional needs.
• Assist staff with restorative programs to help residents reach their highest potential.
• Use communication skills and crisis prevention techniques while advocating for residents.
• Participate in team meetings, discuss treatment goals, and help maintain clean and sanitary conditions.
• Teach residents basic tasks, assist with meals, and apply infection control techniques.
• Report changes in resident condition or environment through verbal or written updates.
