General Description

The Corporate Solutions Department at the Community College of Philadelphia is seeking part-time instructors to teach in the Nurse Aide Training Program. Corporate Solutions offers credit and noncredit education to enhance skills and meet educational goals through various programs including Continuing Education, Contract Training, and Workforce Testing.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Develop and revise curriculum for the Nurse Aide Training Program to meet federal and state requirements.
  • Teach approved nurse aide curriculum in classroom and clinical settings.
  • Maintain and update student competency and skills documentation.
  • Lead in setting goals and objectives for the program.
  • Participate in annual reviews conducted by PDE.
  • Use technology effectively to support learning.
  • Communicate clearly, foster collaboration, and promote an inclusive environment.
  • Manage the learning environment with a focus on student-centered strategies.
  • Strive for teaching excellence, applying best practices and supporting student retention and success.
  • Engage in college activities and community relations, including recruitment and student life events.
  • Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.
  • Commit to professional growth and mentoring students.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • At least 2 years of experience as an RN or LPN, including one year (2,000 hours) in a long-term care facility.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education NATCEP Teaching-the-Educator (TTE) certificate.
  • Criminal background check compliant with state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience as a NATCEP instructor preferred.
  • Experience teaching diverse student populations and within a community college setting.
  • Bilingual skills or proficiency in additional languages.
