Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health in Kauai is seeking Nurse Aides to provide caring nursing support for residents, assisting with daily living activities and restorative care. The role includes orienting residents, responding to calls, and coordinating with the Charge Nurse to ensure safety and comfort.

Training is provided through a free Nurse Aide program with an immediate opportunity to work as a Care Assistant during training, then promotion to CNA after program completion.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Scheduled Prometric exam within 120 days of hire.
• Commit to one year of employment as a Nurse Aide/ CNA.

Responsibilities

• Orient residents to the unit and facility and inform of schedules and activities.
• Respond to resident calls, bells, and alarms and inform the Charge Nurse as required.

The Position:

We're looking for passionate Nurse Aides (NA) to help us with providing nursing care and services to residents, which include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.

• Ohana Nurse Aides orient residents to the unit and facility: Bathroom, call system, shower schedule, activity calendar, and lanai/common areas; informs of meal schedule and snack times.
• Nurse Aides respond to resident calls, call bells/lights, and alarms immediately. Responds to family requests. Informs Charge Nurse when required.

Free Course Instruction with Full-time or Part-Time Employment:

• Course schedule to commence November 3, 2026- December 03, 2026
• Duration: 5-week program with in-person instruction.
• Course instruction provided by OPH
• Work as a Care Assistant concurrently with Nurse Aide Training Program
• Promotion to Nurse Aide/CNA following program completion
