Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• BLS certification due within 3 months of hire.
• Restraints certification (Hard cuff/Soft Limb) within 2 months of hire and annually renewed.
• One year acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to assigned patient population under supervision of Charge/Registered Nurse and/or Physician.
• Assists with activities of daily living.
• Completes hourly rounds and responds to call lights promptly.
• Communicates with patients and families; liaises with licensed staff.
• Assists in specimen collection, identification and transport to lab.
• Restocks supplies and maintains unit cleanliness.
• Relieves Unit Secretary for breaks.
• Assists patients in obtaining blankets, fluids and nutrition as needed.
