Responsibilities

1. Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and maintaining continence.
2. Support senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and the orientation of new employees.
3. Follow department protocols for documentation.
4. Prioritize and adjust assignments throughout the shift to meet the changing needs of seniors/clients, caregivers, team members, and managers.
5. Perform duties as assigned, regardless of personal preference, within the work environment.
6. Additional responsibilities based on specific roles, such as:

• Med Aide: Prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered, evaluate emergency situations, and perform CPR if trained.
• Bath Aide: Assist with bathing to promote independence.
• Functional Maintenance Aide: Perform exercises, assist with activities of daily living, and support functional improvements under the guidance of therapists and nurses.

Qualifications

• Sufficient communication skills to understand instructions, read care plans, and interact effectively.
• Ability to access the work area safely and perform job duties with standard and specialized equipment.
• Unrestricted lift/push/pull ability; pass a 50-pound physical exam.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Valid CNA certification in good standing on the Nebraska State Registry required; for Med Aide roles, additional certification is required.
• CPR certification required and must be kept current.
• Must meet vaccination requirements of Tabitha.

Additional Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and interact successfully with team members and clients.
