Nurse Aide (CNA) - Part Time Evenings - Journey House

Position available: Part-time, evening shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and continence.
  2. Support senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
  3. Follow department protocols for documentation.
  4. Prioritize and adjust assignments throughout the shift to meet changing needs.
  5. Adhere to the comprehensive care plan for each individual.
  6. Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA.
  7. Additional duties for Residential Style Living Community: prepare meals, process laundry, evaluate emergencies, perform CPR if trained.
  8. Additional duties for MA-40: prepare and administer medications and treatments under RN supervision, perform CPR if trained.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including medical terminology.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, with normal vision and hearing.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months experience as aide or caregiver preferred.
  • Current CNA certification in good standing; CPR certification if working in Residences; MA certification if applicable.
  • Meet vaccination requirements.
