Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide essential support to nursing staff, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment for patients in our care setting.

The role encompasses basic patient care, vital signs, patient positioning, and coordination with the care team, with emphasis on compassionate communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and teamwork skills required.
• Ability to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced care setting.
• Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
• CPR/BCLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
• Provide general nursing care such as patient positioning, lifting, turning, and use of assistive equipment.
• Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation.
• Take and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure.
• Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge, including handling personal belongings.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable patient environment.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights, telephone, and paging systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
