Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff by performing essential patient care tasks and helping with daily living activities. You will contribute to a safe, clean environment for patients across our care settings.

The role emphasizes assisting with hygiene, mobility, and comfort, while maintaining careful documentation of vitals and intake/output. CPR/BCLS certification is required, with prior acute/long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support.
• Take and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure, as well as intake and output measurements.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge, including handling personal belongings.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable patient environment and respond to call lights, telephone, and paging systems.
• Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation.
• Position, lift, turn and use assistive equipment as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
