THE POSITION

The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is seeking hardworking, passionate, and caring people to positively impact quality of life of Pennsylvania's veterans by providing the best possible care. As a Nurse Aide, you will provide non-professional nursing care to the residents at Gino J. Merli Veterans' Center. You will contribute to the residents' plans of care by participating in team meetings to discuss treatment plans and methods to approach resident-specific goals. In this position, you will assist residents, in accordance with the plan of care, to perform activities of daily living. You can expect to participate in and complete Restorative Nursing Programs, distribute meals, apply safety devices, and both gather and report pertinent data such as vital signs. Additionally, you will collect specimens as needed such as urine, feces, or sputum.
