Job summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for Taylor Health—Skilled Nursing. You will perform routine resident care, assist with assessments, and support care plans under a supervising nurse.

The position requires a nursing aide certification and ability to lift and move patients safely. The role offers a 40-hour work week with a flexible Monday–Sunday schedule and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• Nursing aide certification is required.
• Heartsaver CPR within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Good physical and mental health is required due to standing and lifting.
• Manual dexterity and sensory acuity needed to monitor residents.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine resident care and promotes resident comfort.
• Assists with carrying out the Resident Assessment and participates in Care Plan conferences.
• Provides nursing care according to the established Care Plan.
• Keeps rooms, equipment and common areas neat and orderly.
• Documents in electronic records and reports incidents as required.

The primary purpose of your job position is to render routine daily nursing and restorative care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan and under the direction of a professional nurse. As a Certified Nursing Assistant necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
