Job Description Summary: The Nurse Administrator I position is responsible for maintaining efficient and effective operations of nursing units/hospitals by providing direction for patient care services, patient throughput, and support for all hospital departments.

Responsibilities And Duties
  • 50% Contributes to administrative functioning of nursing services by reviewing staffing, reassigning and allocating staff as appropriate to meet changing patient care needs.
  • 15% Serves as a clinical resource and role model to nursing staff. Ensures safe and equitable working environments. Uses information systems to retrieve, implement, and retain essential records and services.
  • 15% Interacts with internal and external customers and serves as a resource for information and problem solving (i.e. media, patient relations, risk management, security, hospital administration, patients, and families).
  • 10% Serves as a liaison between nursing services and other hospital departments for problem solving and problem resolution (i.e. Pharmacy, Lab, etc.).
  • 10% Coordinates and/or assists with activities during internal and external emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
  • RN - Registered Nurse (Field of Study: Nursing)
  • Years of Experience: 2 to 5 years
  • Staffing and scheduling patterns, communication, interpersonal relationships skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience
  • BLS Certified
  • Specialized Knowledge in related field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Work Shift: Day
  • Scheduled Weekly Hours : 36
  • Department: Nursing Administration
