The State of Alaska seeks on-call Nurse 2 professionals to join the Alaska Veterans & Pioneers Home in Palmer. You will provide nursing care, perform medication administration, and support care teams to ensure high-quality, person-centered care for up to 79 elders.

The Alaska Veterans & Pioneers Home is recruiting for on-call Nurse 2 positions.
The mission of the Division of the Alaska Pioneer Homes is: "Providing elder Alaskans a home and community, celebrating life through its final breath."
This position is a member of an outstanding nursing and direct care staff and plays a vital role in providing person-centered care and support in a safe environment for up to seventy-nine (79) elders.
Provide high-quality care to assisted living home residents in a warm, supportive, and caring manner. This position will perform a full range of nursing duties requiring established knowledge of nursing principles and procedures. This position provides clinical and medication administration to residents and clinical support to the care teams. Focus will be on quality resident care, the growth, development, and empowerment of health care teams, and the promotion of assisted living philosophy and statutes.
This position is part of an amazing team with opportunities to make a positive impact on the quality of life for Alaskan elders by providing excellent person-centered loving care and services. This position is surrounded by elder residents with many years of life experiences and wisdom who are in varying stages of their life journey.
This job is located at the Alaska Veterans & Pioneers Home, at 250 E. Fireweed Ave. in Palmer Alaska; part of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. The home is near parks and surrounded by beautiful views of the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountain Ranges, the massive Knik Glacier, and is withing walking distance to shops and restaurants.
