Job summary

Bandwidth is a global communications software company and Tier 1 network operator. The Number Inventory Specialist will manage the lifecycle of Telephone Numbers (TNs), ensuring the inventory pipeline is well stocked and that Bandwidth ownership is accurately reflected in industry databases.

Internal and external tickets and audits will be completed successfully. The role involves monitoring inventory across Bandwidth’s customer base, interfacing with regulatory agencies, and leading large-scale

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree is required.
• 1–3 years experience in telecommunications.
• Strong Excel and Access skills; experience with MS Office suite.

• Provides white glove service across Zoo and Key customers.
• Understands and upholds industry standards and rules per state.
• Interfaces with regulatory agencies.
• Manages all off-net vendor ordering, recycling and consumption data.
• Performs large scale audits across Bandwidth’s customer base.
• Creates and enhances team processes and documentation.
• Maintains cross-departmental collaboration.
• Manages project deadlines and milestones to completion.
• Educates internal teams on Number Inventory processes and industry knowledge.
• Maintains long-term manual audits through to completion.
• Increases industry utilization through large scale projects.

What We Are Looking For:

The Number Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of Telephone Numbers (TNs) as a product, ensuring the pipeline of inventory is well stocked, that the industry is updated on Bandwidth ownership through industry facing databases such as BIRRDs/LERG/NPAC, and that both internal and external tickets, inquiries, and audits are completed successfully.

What You'll Do:

• Monitors, evaluates, and reports on telephone inventory
• Provides white glove service across Zoo and Key customers
• Understands and upholds industry standards and rules specific to each state
• Interfaces with industry regulatory agencies
• Manages all off-net vendor ordering, recycling and consumption data
• Able to perform large scale audits across Bandwidth’s entire customer base
• Proficient in industry mass update, mass ports (MUMPs)
• Creates and enhances team processes and documentation
• Maintains cross-departmental collaboration
• Manages project deadlines and monitor milestones through completion stage
• Educates internal teams on Number Inventory processes and industry knowledge
• Maintains long-term manual audits through to completion
• Increases our industry utilization through large scale projects assigned by management

What You Need:

• Education:
  • BS/BA degree is required.
  • Quantitative, statistical or technical fields are helpful
• Experience:
  • 1-3 years experience working in the telecommunications role
• Skills:
  • MS Office suite of products, specifically advanced Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Experience developing training materials and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
