Job summary

Craig Technologies is leading the Hanford Tank Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant project with Bechtel, designing and commissioning crucial systems in Richland, WA. The Senior Environmental Permitting Specialist will develop test strategies, manage execution, and coordinate with Regulatory Agencies and design teams to ensure compliance and safe operations.

The role requires a 20-year background in startup engineering, test engineering, or operations in nuclear or high-hazard environments,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required.
• Twenty years of startup, test engineering, or operations experience in a nuclear/high-hazard environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of environmental performance test strategies, plans, and procedures.
• Interact with Regulatory Agencies and other project disciplines; oversee subcontractors.
• Perform work within a Nuclear Facility conduct of operations environment.
• Understand and apply requirements for melter testing and offgas stack sampling using EPA reference methods.
• Review design documentation for operation, environmental, safety, and health impacts.
• Develop scopes of work for test plans, procedures, and work instructions.
• Provide oversight of subcontracted work and testing activities.
• Support regulatory agency approval of environmental test plans and procedures.
• Support field work, testing, and commissioning of WTP facilities.
• Ensure timely oral and written technical reports and presentations.
