Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a dedicated R&D Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team and solve critical verification and monitoring challenges for national security. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience with radiation detectors and radiation modeling tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build and test prototypes for monitoring and verification equipment.
• Design, modify, fabricate and test electrical components including PCBs.
• Develop embedded firmware with microcontrollers and FPGAs.
• Support projects in designing, testing, and fielding verification devices.
• Contribute to electronics trust and knowledge in nuclear security.
