Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.
Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant exempt experience is required.
Master’s Degree with 0 years of relevant professional experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, and tests nuclear equipment and systems.
Conducts research on materials of interest in nuclear reactors.
Performs studies on radiation detection and control of contaminants.
Assesses nuclear fuel cycle for economical material use and safe waste disposal.
Recommends technology options for safety, performance, efficiency or costs.
