Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a highly capable Supplier & Partner Quality Lead to join the Quality team in Columbia, SC. You will own supplier quality risk management, build the qualification framework, and drive CGD and 10 CFR Part 21 implementation across engineering and procurement.

Responsibilities include audits, clause drafting, and monitoring supplier performance. Travel to audits is expected, with experience in nuclear QA and NQA-1 lead auditing strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline.
• 8+ years in nuclear supplier quality / procurement quality, including leading supplier audits.
• Practical, hands-on knowledge of CGD (EPRI methodology) and 10 CFR Part 21.
• ASME NQA-1 supplier-audit experience; qualified as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor.
• Willing to travel 25–40% for audits and surveillance.
• Familiarity with NUPIC / NIAC audit programs and supplier base.
• ISO 19443 exposure for nuclear supply-chain qualification.
• Experience qualifying first-of-a-kind or non-traditional suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Build the supplier qualification, audit, and surveillance framework and administer the approved-supplier process.
• Author standard supplier quality clauses and flow-downs for procurements and subcontracts with Procurement and Legal/Contracts.
• Coordinate CGD and 10 CFR Part 21 applicability with Engineering safety and Procurement.
• Lead supplier audits and surveillances as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor; document findings and close actions.
• Define partner/JV quality interfaces and flow-downs with oversight role.
• Map and risk-rank supplier base; establish supplier performance monitoring and corrective-action follow-up.
• Support customer and partner audit readiness for the supplier-assurance program.
