Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Technician for a nuclear facility maintenance project at Three Mile Island, PA. This contractor role involves field safety oversight for painting and coating crews, daily safety talks, and compliance with safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a 4-year Safety degree or BCSP CHST, nuclear site experience, and knowledge of hazardous materials, respirators, and fall protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or CHST certification required.
• Nuclear site experience is required.
• Experience with industrial painting/coatings and surface preparation.

Responsibilities

• Provide field safety oversight for painting and coating operations.
• Monitor needle gunning, swing-stage scaffolding, elevated work, and fall protection.
• Support respiratory protection, heat stress, and noise exposure programs.
• Lead AHAs, JHAs, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning daily.
