Job summary

Westinghouse WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a grounds maintenance worker to care for designated outdoor areas on site at the Catawba nuclear facility. The role includes operating mowers, trimmers, edgers, and applying pesticides while complying with safety procedures and site rules.

You will report on site to the site coordinator and work a 40-hour week, with potential overtime during outages and on-call coverage as needed. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; must pass drug test and background check.
• Valid state driver’s license required for site access and operations.
• Basic computer skills to operate job-related equipment and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain designated grounds and outdoor areas using hand and power tools.
• Operate mowers, leaf blowers, and apply pesticides and fertilizers as directed.
• Report on site at Catawba nuclear site to the site coordinator.
• Support safety policies, procedures and nuclear plant safety requirements.
• Communicate clearly and follow instructions, with ability to work independently.
