Job summary

NANO Nuclear Energy is seeking a Nuclear Engineer, Safety Analysis in Oak Brook, IL to advance the safety analysis portion of the KRONOS and related reactor technologies. You will develop models, run analyses, and interface with engineering to meet safety goals while addressing NRC questions.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• BS plus 3+ years in Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• Strong foundations in reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, safety analysis, and materials performance.
• Ability to develop models, perform analysis, and interpret results.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods, models, and data to analyze reactor system safety performance.
• Provide input to engineering on materials selection and system requirements.
• Participate in team-wide engineering efforts and respond to NRC questions.
• Prepare technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
