Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a Mid Level Quality Engineer to ensure implementation of the Project Quality Plan across engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and operations for nuclear construction projects. You will work under the Quality Manager to coordinate activities and drive a culture of quality across multiple disciplines.

Base compensation ranges from $112,000 to $117,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits; relocation and travel to multiple locations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• 5–10+ years in quality assurance, quality control, or related field; 3-5+ years engineering design experience
• Working knowledge of CGD implementation for materials, equipment, and services
• Familiarity with quality standards such as NQA-1, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, NRC Regulatory Guides
• Proficient in structured problem-solving and causal analysis
• Experience with quality control procedures for construction and field execution

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of company standards, policies, and guidelines
• Communicate client critique results and quality feedback clearly
• Initiate, implement, track, and close Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
• Facilitate Root Cause analyses to identify systemic issues and preventive actions
• Plan and conduct quality assessments for compliance and performance
• Support audits and surveillance activities and document reviews
• Develop and deliver quality-related presentations and disseminate information in meetings
• Mentor staff to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement
• Draft and manage Project Quality documentation and metrics
